There’s something beautifully full-circle about a voice allowing their biggest hit to bloom in an all-new light. in 2001, Willa Ford, a classically trained opera singer gave a generation of young people permission to be bad with her self-penned anthem 「I Wanna Be Bad」.
Now, twenty-five years later, that origin story finds its way back into the music. Reimagined the song not as a more hard-hitting remix, but a softer string orchestral version that makes use of Ford’s beautiful voice.
Released along side her sophomore album Amanda, Ford is showing that talent doesn’t dissipate with age, it only gets stronger.
There will be more music reviews soon so…
