Ladies and Gentlemen, the Queen is back!

Belinda Carlisle, one of the most recognizable voices in pop music, has reunited with one of the world’s most prolific songwriters, Diane Warren, on a 5 track EP KISMET. Releasing digitally on 12 May, the lead track, “Big Big Love,” is available now.

On her official website, Carlisle discussed working with Diane Warren “Twenty-seven years on from making my last English language pop record, I really wasn’t thinking I would ever make one again…… and I was quite happy with that idea. Then a chance encounter in a coffee shop led me back to the wonderful Diane Warren, and she gave me the incredible gift of this song and the other songs on my upcoming EP.

The two struck triple platinum success on Carlisle’s 1987 sophomore album Heaven on Earth with the hit singles “I Get Weak” and “World Without You.”

Carlisle goes on to add, “Diane’s songwriting is both a joy and mystery to me. She makes it look so easy, where I imagine it must be unbelievably hard, to do what she does so amazingly well over so many years and so many records. I can’t thank her enough for writing this music for me and I only hope everyone else loves it as much as I do.”

With “Big Big Love” reaching number 1 in the UK on Radio 2, it’s safe to say that the Warren / Carlisle magic has only gotten stronger!

KISMET will be released through Warrens own label RAF under BMG and can be pre-ordered through Carlisle’s official website. A physical CD / Vinyl copy will follow the digital release in August.

More on Belinda soon so…
