Our Skyy 2 has finally premiered. I have been waiting for this series since GMMTV unveiled the teaser at their  2023: DIVERSELY YOURS event last November.

Then, two weeks ago they released an official trailer and as you can see…

The series looks absolutely ridiculous (in the BEST possible way).

To be honest, however, I wasn’t super excited that the series was opening with  Never Let Me Go. While I love Pond and Phuwin as Palm and Nuengdiao, and I understand that the 2022 drama was a massive hit, it wasn’t one of my favorites. I liked it; it just wasn’t something I felt the need to rush home and watch every week like I have with some of the other GMMTV series. That being said, I really, REALLY liked their arc in Our Skyy 2.

After spending several years apart due to Nuengdiao studying abroad, the lovers are reunited. The two are immediately thrust into trouble when Palm, trying to be the hero, helps an elderly woman being harassed by a gang of thugs. While noble, his actions (as they usually do) put the couple’s lives in danger, and when they’re cornered, it appears the end is near. But then, something strange happens.

The couple is sent back to the past – to a life where Palm was wealthy, and Nuengdiao was his servant. The couple learns a lot about one of their souls and how their love was cursed several lives ago, and the only way for them to return home is to break it.

It was fun seeing Phuwin as a serpent. It was more fun seeing him without a shirt through most of the story’s two episode arc. It was dramatic, and fun, and yes – in typical GMMTV style – very romantic.

Adding the supernatural element was something I didn’t expect with this series, but now I wish all of Never Let Me Go had something similar. It would’ve been a much more interesting story.

This week’s episodes focus on Star in My Mind. This was a series I know a lot of people didn’t care for, but I loved, so I am excited!

More Our Skyy 2 soon so…
