The creative cuties of Naniwa Danshi are back to brighten our lives with the summer-sweet sounds of their newest single, “Poppin’ Hoppin’ Lovin'”! 

As the lead single from their forthcoming second album POPMALL the single is everything you’d expect from a Naniwa Danshi music video – catchy lyrics, cute dance moves, and lots (and I do mean LOTS) of color!  

The setup is that the lucky 7 are bored and waiting for the clock to strike closing time. When the music starts, their cute little Punky Brewster faces light up with joy as we’re taken through a utopia of neon-layered cuteness as the guys dance and sing their way through their work with unmatched adorability. 

While the video does feature dancing (obviously, they’re a Johnny’s group), it’s the type of choreography even someone with two left feet and a severe lack of rhythm (like myself) can do without (too much) difficulty. 

One of the things I love about this group is just how much joy they seem to have in what they are doing. I know it’s work, and I know they’re incredibly serious about what they do, but they don’t let that seriousness cloud their art. They’re all about the fun, which is precisely what “Poppin’ Hoppin’ Lovin'” is. Fun.
