Earlier this year, it was reported that Riichirou Inagaki and Ryoichi Ikegami’s Trillion Game manga was being adapted into a live-action series. While, no further details about the series were released at that time. It has now been confirmed that Ren Meguro, one of the nine members of the JPOP group Snow Man (and my forever man crush) will be taking on the lead role of Haru Tennoji!

Haru is a carefree, laid-back surfer type, while his best friend, Gaku, is incredibly serious. Together, the two men plot to earn a trillion dollars in order to afford anything and everything they could ever want in the world.

“I was so happy when I first got the offer for this role. I’ve read the original manga and the story is really interesting! I’m nervous of course since the character of Haru is pretty different from me, but I’m always up for a new challenge and look forward to entering his world,” Meguro revealed in an official statement. “What kind of dynamic Haru and his partner Gaku will have, and of course the road they take in their quest for a trillion dollars, I hope fans of Snow Man and the manga will look forward to in equal measure, and I hope it might at some point get released overseas as well!”

The drama will air Friday nights at 10 pm starting in July (Official release date pending). More Trillion, Snow Man, and surely Meguro soon so…

Stay Tuned!
