I’m going to preface this by saying that EarthMix is one of my favorite ships. Earth is one of the sexiest men on the planet, and Mix is just beautiful. The contrast between Earth’s rough and tumble hardness and Mix’s innocent softness, they’re just a lot of fun to watch on the screen.
Earth stars as Jim, the owner of a Hainanese chicken rice diner. Between running the restaurant, raising his nephew Li Ming (Fourth Nattawat), and helping his friend/employee Leng (Mark Pakin) he’s not exactly swimming in cash. Mix plays Wen, who comes to the diner drunk and looking for love. After a night of passion with Jim, their entire worlds collide in a way neither one of them quit expected.

Gemini and Fourth are also an absolute joy to watch in this series as their characters of Heart and Li Ming are near polar opposites of Tinn and Gun from My School President. Gemini’s Heart is a mischievous and broken while Li Ming is repressing a lot of anger, I am assuming from his mother shipping him off to live with his uncle Jim.
If the cast wasn’t impressive enough, the series is directed by none other than Aof Noppharnach, who’s just an incredible director. From SOTUS, He’s Coming to Me to A Tale of Thousand Stars, Dark Blue Kiss, and Bad Buddy the man is genius and Moonlight Chicken is set to be his crowing glory.
I am very glad this series is getting 8 episodes. I also hope that (unlike EarthMix’s last series Cupid’s Last Wish which is very underrated) this series gets a dvd boxset.
Moonlight Chicken streams every Wednesday and Thursday on the official GMMTV YouTube page.
More Moonlight chicken soon so…
