30 days in and 2023 has already been an incredible year for the BL industry! Once relegated to college troupe after college troupe after college – usually involving engineers and architecture troupe, the genre is expanding. Mafia dramas, supernatural dramas, office comedies, and even musicals. It’s a great time to be a BL fan!

I know this list is small, but at least it’s a starting point. So, without further ado here are my top 5 picks of the BL dramas currently airing in January 2023.

Japan has really been knocking it out of the park with its BL Content, and this is no exception. Set in the fast-paced world of tabloid journalism, this enemy-to-lovers dramedy is fresh, fun, and funny. Very funny.
Candy Color Paradox streams Thursdays on Viki

a Korean office comedy, this series isn’t the most original story I’ve ever seen, but it is a lot of fun. Also, it stars Moon Ji Yong from 2022’s Once Again and Kwon Hyuk in his first BL role.
The New Employee streams Wednesdays on Viki

Mafia, murder and more hot men than you can shake a stick at, including fan-favorites Pond and Phuwin, romance, this GMMTV drama started off as a slow burn but has flourished into an inferno of white-hot passion and intrigue. It is not to be missed.
Never Let Me Go streams Tuesdays on the official GMMTV YouTube.

Unless you are brand new to the BL industry or have just been living under a rock, you know who Thitiwat and Fluke Natouch are. Add world-class director Tanwarin Sukkhapisit to the mix, and this supernatural universe-jumping love story can’t miss.
609 Bedtime Story streams Fridays on WeTV/Tencent Video.

This series is one of the best I have ever seen from GMMTV. The writing, the music, everything about it is just fantastic. The chemistry between Gemini and Fourth is so electrifying that they are about to set the BL industry on fire. They’re phenomenal.
