After last week’s musical moment, I didn’t think it would be possible for me to love this series even more. However, with the sixth episode of My School President (แฟนผมเป็นประธานนักเรียน), Thai production company GMMTV has sealed the deal on this being one of the best series of the New Year! Following the journey of Tinn (Gemini Norawit) and Gun (Fourth Nattawat) from rivals to friends to lovers has been one of the sweetest and most enjoyable paths I have taken since entering the world of BL dramas.

This episode revolved around the music video that Chinzhilla is submitting for the Hot Wave Music competition. The song they’ve chosen is a cover of Tilly Birds Just Friendly (เพื่อนเล่นไม่เล่นเพื่อน). While filming, the side-couple ships are FINALLY officially established! They are Sound (Satang Kittiphop), the band’s newest member, and Win (Winny Thanawin), Gun’s best friend, who have thus far been friendly but also at one another’s throats (probably because they like one another). And Thiew (Mark Pakin), Tinn’s best friend, and Por (Ford Arun), who is arguably one of Chinzilla’s most talented members.

But the episode’s main point is when Tinn finally confesses and crosses that pesky FriendZone line. Even though Gun feels the same, he reveals that club rules mean he cannot have a lover. At least not until after Hot Wave. Tinn understands but reminds him that the rules do not state that he cannot hit on him. So he reserves a spot on Gun’s cheek as his own. Smiling, Gun blushes.

Tinn (Gemini) FINALLY making his move towards Gun (Fourth)

As the group enjoys some Texas Chicken, Thiew reveals to them the finished product of the music video, which plays after the credits of this episode. Sadly, we do not have Texas Chicken in Los Angeles, which makes me very sad because who knew eating it could be so flirty!?!

More My School President soon so…

Stay Tuned!
