He’s got the voice. He’s got the look. And he’s got that extra touch of J-pop magic that turns a regular idol into a worldwide superstar.

Of course, I’m talking about J-pop solo artist Kento Nakajima (中島健人), who has just released his third physical single and first double A-side as a solo artist, ｢鬼事 / Fiction Love｣. And with fans already tumbling headfirst into this Wonderland of sound, Kento has happily taken the crown as the King of Hearts.

As the first rabbit that led me through the looking glass into the wonderfully mad world of STARTO ENTERTAINMENT, Kenty’s evolution has been nothing short of extraordinary to witness.

He began his journey as a member of the iconic idol group Sexy Zone (now timelesz), performing for more than 3.3 million fans across 363 performances over the course of 11 years before graduating from the group to embark on a new path as a solo artist on 31 March 2024.

He made his official debut as a solo artist on 25 December 2024 with 『N / bias』 through Sony Music. The album hit No. 3 on the Oricon Albums Chart, selling more than 52,500 copies in its first week, while its digital edition topped Oricon’s Digital Albums chart.

An exploration of sound, Nakajima’s second album, 『IDOL1ST』, expanded his creative pilgrimage and gave fans an unabashed glimpse into the life of one of the country’s most celebrated idols.

Entering his third year as a solo artist with a touch of magic, ｢鬼事 / Fiction Love｣ boasts two incredible theme songs.

First, ｢鬼事｣, which features 岡村靖幸 (Yasuyuki Okamura), serves as the opening theme for the second season of the TV anime The Elusive Samurai.

The second half of the single, ｢Fiction Love｣, is the theme song for Nakajima’s romantic film Love≠Comedy.

Released in three separate physical editions and a special digital-only version, the single also includes three additional tracks.

｢愛してTonight｣ (English: Love Me Tonight)
With a touch of disco, Kenty continues to explore the sexual side of his personality. It’s gentle, sensual, and wonderful.

｢Strawberry｣
Sugar-sweet and romantic, ｢Strawberry｣ is a quintessential Kenty song about love and devotion, pairing a danceable beat with catchy lyrics and Kenty’s velvety-smooth vocals that make the listener feel as though he’s singing directly to them.

｢Hey!! Summer Honey｣ (ver2.0)
Included on Sexy Zone’s first “best of” album,『Sexy Zone 5th Anniversary Best』, this is one of the single’s strongest tracks, and that’s saying something since every song is a banger.

The physical versions can be purchased wherever Japanese music and movies are sold. The digital version of the single can also be streamed or downloaded on all major platforms, including Qobuz which offers a 24-Bit/96 kHz stereo download.
