Earlier today STARO ENTERTAINMENT announced THE RE:BORN CHASING DISCOTHEQUE LIVE. 

Executive produced by Tomoyuki Yara (one of the most influential choreographers in Japan), the announcement also proclaimed the return of Keita Richard Kusama. Formerly of Ae! group, the talented young artist (who just recently opened his own instagram) – will be taking on the starring role in one of the most unique live experiences in Japanese entertainment. 

First introduced to audiences in 2018, Yara developed THE YOUNG LOVE DISCOTHEQUE as a free-flowing retro club space meant to blur the boundaries between audience and entertainer. 

Having previously starred in the show in 2018 and 2019, Kasuma and Yara have been talking about reinventing the event since before the Covid 19 pandemic brought the planet to a standstill. 

“As I inherit DISCOTHEQUE, I want to express, in my own way, my respect for the world that Yara-kun has created over the years,” Kasuma said in a statement released to the press. 

“Yara-kun and I had spoken for a long time about wanting to do something together someday, so I am genuinely happy that we will finally have the opportunity to work together.” He continued. “At the same time, when I first received the offer, I had many thoughts running through my mind. I wondered whether I would be able to show the fans who I am today and whether I would be able to express myself completely and give 100 percent of what makes me who I am. Even so, I am sincerely grateful to have been given a place where I can express myself and to have encountered an opportunity like this.More than anything, I am looking forward to meeting the fans in person. Nothing can replace the joy and excitement I feel when my entertainment reaches more and more people”

“A new song is also being written especially for THE RE:BORN CHASING DISCOTHEQUE LIVE,” he adds, “and I am confident that we will be able to present an even more evolved DISCOTHEQUE”
