The rain has returned.

It’s not the dramatic thunderstorms I grew up with on the plains of northeastern Montana, but it’s still a welcome source of respite. I’ve always loved a good thunderstorm.

Between days of heavy rain came another quake. This time, a 5.5 rattled everything. It’s the strongest one I’ve experienced since moving here, and it was powerful enough to send a fair number of knick-knacks tumbling from their shelves. Thankfully, nothing broke. Still, it was quite the surprise, especially as I was blasting the Cold Slither remix of the Jem and the Holograms theme song.

On a lighter note, I recently started watching BEASTARS, and I’m enjoying it far more than I expected.

Work is getting easier, I’m settling into a routine, and I’m finding myself surrounded by new friends and adventures around every corner.

I couldn’t be happier.
