Since its debut on 11 August 2023, the Korean BL animation MIGNON (민용) has become something of a cult phenomenon. Blending brutal underground boxing, supernatural intrigue, and an unexpectedly tender romance between a young fighter and the vampire doctor who captures his heart, the series is just as beautiful as it is dramatic.
Now, fans have the opportunity to revisit that beauty through the newly released MIGNON Animation & Comic Book Package, a lavish collector’s edition that celebrates everything that made the series so special.
Including two beautifully bound volumes of the comic adaptation containing more than 500 pages of full-color art : both of which are signed by the series creator / artist Bboong Bbang Kkyu (뿡빵뀨). The collector’s edition also features revised artwork, restored material, original cuts, and additional dialogue that further enriches the relationship between Mignon and Doctor Oh Young-One.

However, the pièce de résistance of the set is the inclusion of a USB containing the complete theatrical version of MIGNON alongside an unrevealed sequel side story, both of which are wildly inappropriate for anyone under the age of 18. All told, the collection allows fans to experience the animated phenomenon in one place while also providing fresh content that has previously remained unavailable to much of the international audience. With English, Korean, and Japanese subtitle support, the package is surprisingly accessible for collectors outside of Korea.
Of course, no collector’s edition would be complete without extras, and this set arrives absolutely overflowing with them. Depending on the version purchased, fans receive photocards, art boards, a postcard book featuring highlight scenes from the animation, stickers, acrylic stands, and keyrings.

For me, I ordered [Set A] which included:
1 × USB(animated movie, feature film : 1h 4m, prequel : 11m 28s)
1 × vol.1(248p, 148 × 210 mm)
1 × vol.2(252p, 148 × 210 mm)
1 × package box(160 × 220 × 70 mm)
5 × photocard(54 × 86 mm)
3 × illustration art board(210 × 140 mm)
1 × postcard book( 16 postcards, 100 × 150 mm)
1 × sticker pack(120 × 80 mm)
The dartboard’s are beautiful and 100% frame worthy (which I will be doing). There is one drawback, though. The video files are only watchable through a specific player included on the drive. There is no way to watch or stream them on any device other than your computer, though the player is compatible with both Mac and PC. Still, with a price tag of $135… I was hoping to at least be able to watch it on my television
A CD version of the soundtrack would have also been awesome. Jeon Yonghyeon (전용현 ) composed a beautiful score.
Still, even with these minor inconveniences… TOTALLY worth it.
While the original release sold out impressively fast, you can still watch the uncensored film and series versions through the streaming site Heavenly.
There will be more anime / series / BL reviews soon so…
Stay Tuned!
