If you’ve spent any time on my blog, you already know I ride hard for the seven unique tigers of Travis Japan. I’ve followed them across music videos, concert stages, and more than a few interview rooms, so when their latest docu-series dropped on Disney+, tuning in wasn’t a choice, it was instinct. After all it combines three of my favorite things: music, documentary storytelling, and (of course) Travis Japan.

What makes this series stand out is that the entire adventure was orchestrated by the group’s “Brain Tiger,” Noel, and I can say with full confidence that no matter how many times I’ve interviewed him, he never ceases to surprise me. He’s smart, talented, incredibly handsome, and one of the most academically licensed pop stars on the planet. A literal walking brain, he recently became a certified tour guide and decided to put those skills to use while Travis Japan were wrapping up their second world tour in the United States in last summer. Splitting the remaining six members into two teams he give them a map of some of his favorite locations in the states that are as unique as they are.

Team A is made up of two Kaitos and Shizu. Kicking things off in Salt Lake City, Utah, they set out across Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona in a Cruise America RV, with Chaka behind the wheel. Though, Umi graciously offers to assist him from the passenger seat.

Team B features Shime, Genta, and Machu. Starting in Albuquerque, New Mexico, they make their way through Colorado and into Arizona in a luxury sedan, driven by Machu – as he’s the only one with an international license. It’s the same kind of vehicle Noel used to make the trip. Shime will help guide from the passenger seat while Genta promises to be the life of the party.

Both teams set out buzzing with anticipation, knowing that Noel will be waiting for them at the final stop in Sedona.

Episodes 1–3 are now streaming on Disney+ – so… who’s ready for an adventure with Travis Japan??

There will be more soon so…

Stay Tuned!
