The time has come for Tian to leave the village. Tear-filled and bittersweet, the teacher came to the mountain a spoiled rich kid without purpose or guidance and is leaving wiser, kinder, and knowing full well who he is and what he wants out of life. To help people. But Phua doesn’t come to say goodbye. It’s too hard for him. Instead he watches the man he loves dissapear into the sunset.

After Tian returns home, he agrees to return to school, but he wants to major in teaching. He decides to get his degree over seas and once he’s through he wants to return to the village. He wants to be a permanent teacher, not just a short-term volunteer.
Phua shows up at the airport just intimate to see him off. After several years apart the two finally meet back at the Pha Phun Dao cliff. Reunited, they finally get a kiss as the sun sets over the mountains.

Final Thoughts: Every time I watch this series I am reminded of just how beautiful it is. EarthMix are two of my absolute favorites at GMMTV and Noppharnach Chaiwimol (Aof) is one of my favorite directors. Everything about this series is beautiful. It is one of those comfort series that I will routinely return to just because, even though there are moments where I want to scream at the characters, overall it’s pretty damn close to perfect.
