Music has an extraordinary kind of magic. When the K-pop idol group OnlyOneOf (온리원오브) started their Underground Idol project in the summer of 2022, they created (what I believe to be) the first BL music video series be. The six-video series started with “begin” on 27 June 2022, with each subsequent video being released once a month, concluding with “beyOnd” on 4 January 2023.

The music is catchy, the guys are hot, and the videos, which have interconnecting storylines, are well-produced.

The series was a part of the group’s Underground Idol project. Each song was written by a group member, and each single (released digitally) included a remix of a different previously released track. Every group member has been cast in the upcoming BL web series Bump Up Business, but these videos are not just some PR stunt. The guys have been releasing queer-inclusive music videos almost since their formation by 8D Entertainment in 2019.
