Ae! group (Aぇǃ group) are one of the most formidable acts in the industry. As the first group to debut after their agency’s name change to STARTO, they’ve been forged in the heat of adversity. They’ve handled every scandal, shift, and setback with grace, dignity, and that rockstar fire that makes them one of the brightest forces in J-pop. With their newest track ｢Fashion Killa♡｣, they also showcase the charm of their signature brand of fun.

Honestly, I’d expect nothing less from Masakado, Suezawa, Kojima, and Sano. The group is incredibly talented, endlessly fun, and yes, undeniably sexy, even when they’re being absolute goofballs.

The video opens with the guys as simple, fashionably challenged office workers before flipping into high-end “fashion” superstars who sing, dance, and lean fully into the absurdity of their Kansai nature. The song is catchy as hell, and the video plays like a visual shot of serotonin. 

While I enjoyed the first pre-release track ｢Again｣ from their sophomore album Runway, one color noticeably missing from the Aeǃ group rainbow – yellow. Richard’s distinctive voice is greatly missed, but there’s no denying how incredible the group sounds.

And again, ｢Fashion Killa♡｣ is just a brilliant piece of music. 

Once again, Aeǃ group have come out the other side of hellfire as stronger, smarter, and brighter than before. With my move to Japan just over the horizon, I’m looking forward to following them even more closely.
