I can’t believe how quickly 21 days have come and gone. On one hand, three weeks feels like a long time—and it is. But when you’ve had as much fun as I have (and when you love being here as much as I do), three weeks just isn’t enough.

From the moment I touched down to the moment I lifted off, this trip has been my most exciting adventure yet. Concerts, shrines, old friends, new faces… and yes—way too much money spent on some truly outrageous new (and new-to-me) treasures. I made the most of every moment, even on the days when I was parked somewhere writing for hours at a time.

It was all part of the adventure.

The only thing that made leaving—Gate 22 at Haneda, boarding flight NH0126—even slightly easier was the timing: just as I was departing, it started to snow. And as much of a hellscape as Los Angeles has become… at least it’s warm.

Still, I already can’t wait to come back – cold weather and all!

So this isn’t “Goodbye, Tokyo.” It’s “See you soon!”

… At the very least, I’ll be back in 2027 to see Travis Japan kick off another tour! After all, it is tradition!

There will be more so…

Stay Tuned!
