I just finished. I binged all four episodes. I couldn’t help myself. Shonda Rhimes is a genius. I’ve never read the book series by Julia Quinn, but now I want to. While I’ve enjoyed every season of Bridgerton so far — as well as the spin-off prequel series Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story — there was something especially addictive about this season. It’s the best of the set, and no, not just because we get to see Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) in next to nothing.

Even though it’s a story the entire world has seen retold a million different ways, there’s something truly special about this iteration. As I said in my previous review, the cast, the story, the costumes, the music — everything is perfection, which is standard for this series. Still, Season 4 has something uniquely magical. It’s brilliantly done.
Watching Violet Bridgerton (Ruth Gemmell) evolve has been so much fun. She’s sassy and bossy, stern and loving, and giggling like a schoolgirl in love. She’s all of it at once, and she deserves happiness.
My only criticism? I want more, and I’m sad I have to wait almost an entire month to get it. But I suppose it will be worth it — the teaser shows Kate Sharma returning, played by Simone Ashley, which is a delight. She’s one of the best characters in the series (tied with Penelope for the top spot, if I’m being honest). And Sophie Baek has really caught my attention.
There will be more reviews soon so…
