With their 7th studio album, J-pop’s royal duo King & Prince channel the magic of the movies, for an album filled with heart-melting love anthems, sensual club-bangers, and even a touch of that undeniable pixie-dust magic of Disney.

This is, STARRING!

From start to finish, the album showcases why King & Prince are one of Japan’s most successful sonic superstars! 

｢Theater｣, opens the album, welcoming fans into this cinematic-themed adventure with as style and flare only King & Prince can deliver.

｢だんだん｣ (English Title: Gradually) borrows instrumentation from traditional Japanese instruments, crafting a truly beautiful and reflective track.

Featured in the drama Love Is Hard for a Rich Man, starring group member Ren Nagase,  ｢HEART｣ was written as a love letter to the group’s fans. “This is a quintessential royal love song that truly embodies the essence of the current King & Prince,” Takahashi shared while promoting the song.

｢I know｣ is a banger club anthem that went on to become a queer anthem of the summer.

A collaboration with Disney, ｢What We Got ～奇跡はきみと～｣ (Engligh title: What We Got 〜The Miracle Is With You〜), is a reimagining of 2016’s “What We Got (Mickey’s Birthday Song).” The track celebrates chance encounters, the beauty of unexpected friendships, and the magic that can blossom in a single moment.

｢MEET CUTE｣ closes the album on a gentle note—an adorable love song about two hearts meeting for the very first time.

Released on 24 December, the album arrived on streaming and download platforms worldwide the same day as its physical release in Japan. For international listeners, it was a rare chance to experience the sound simultaneously alongside Japanese audiences. It was a gift of love—a heartfelt celebration of music, connection, and gratitude for fans around the world. This spirit reflects not only what King & Prince stand for, but the philosophy of their agency, STARTO ENTERTAINMENT, as a whole. There is magic in music, and it unites us in ways few other mediums can.
