RISER MUSIC DEBUTS CLO’VER

Last weekend, Riser Music — a subsidiary of GMMTV (Thailand’s biggest entertainment corporation) — debuted their newest boy band, CLO’VER.

On the younger side (the oldest member is 23), the group is made up of some of the company’s rising actors, especially within BL drama.

Barcode — บาร์โค้ด (Tinnasit Isarapongporn / ตฤณสิษฐ์ อิสระพงศ์พร), born 2 August 2004 — is one of the newest actors signed to GMMTV. With the soft introspection of an INFJ and the mischievous nature one might expect from someone born in the Year of the Monkey, he made his acting debut in the 2022 series KinnPorsche. His love for music sprouted from childhood lullabies and blossomed into a heartfelt pull toward storytelling through song. He represents the leaf of Love.

Ashi — อชิ (Peerakan Teawsuwan / พีรคณิศร์ แถวสุวรรณ), born 28 May 2005 — represents the leaf of Hope. While he previously appeared in the competition series Project Alpha (lasting through episode 9), he made his acting debut in the 2023 series Cherry Magic. He’s a mix of grit and easy-going warmth, with a genuinely open heart.

Keen — คีน (Suvijak Piyanopharoj / สุวิจักรขณ์ ปิยะนพโรจน์), born 18 August 2005 — embodies the leaf of Luck and adds a bright, kinetic spark to the group. Making his lead-role debut in the 2024 series Only Boo, he’s a piano-playing, math-loving, Rubik’s-Cube-twisting burst of energy who connects with people with natural ease.

Aungpao — อังเปา (Ochiris Suwanacheep / โอชิริส สุวรรณชีพ), born 20 March 2006 — made his acting debut in the 2023 series Cooking Crush, nailing the line between cute and comedic in a wonderfully charming performance. He’s a dreamer drawn to folk and indie melodies, to instruments, tulips, and tender colors, harboring hopes of a musical future and maybe even a cozy little restaurant of his own.

The group’s debut single, ｢Next to You｣, is perfectly suited to their age and energy. The song itself is flirty and fun, blending mostly Thai lyrics with bursts of english. It’s cute, and  walks that fine line of being sweet without tipping into saccharine.
