No one delivers the candy-coated confusions of love quite like Naniwa Danshi.
From their sunrise sugar rush of 「初心LOVE」 to the buoyant reassurance of 「Don’t Worry!!」, the most sparkly boys in J-pop keep their fingers pressed to the pulse of youthful energy, offering a glittering sensitivity that makes them the boys next door you know you’re able to trust with your whole heart.
Especially if you’re not the romantic type, as they prove with their latest single, 「Never Romatic」

The music video cleverly bends that metaphor into anime-level sci-fi storytelling, casting the object of their affection as an adorable little robot who simply cannot compute love.
No matter what the boys try, her exterior stays unbreakable, even as they bonk and bump into one another—willing, in true slapstick hero fashion, to risk their friendships in the name of a love connection.
It isn’t until a sudden threat descends, ready to wipe out everything—including the boys themselves—that they rally together, the seven shining stars of the lucky Naniwa Senshi, to protect each other and their mechanical friend.
The result is an endearing, Chuki-Chuki-Hurricane swirl of adventure that practically begs for a short-form series adaptation (if you’re listening, STARTO).
Used as the theme song for the romantic comedy feature Romantic Killer starring group member Kyohei Takahashi and featuring fellow Naniwa Danshi member Joichiro Fujiwara.
On Saturday, the group teased the song with a dance practice video that showcases their adorable dance ability and just how catchy this song really is.
There will be more Naniwa Danshi soon so…
