When it comes to K-pop, I’ve always been selective. For years, Girls’ Generation and Super Junior were the only groups that consistently held my attention—until ZEROBASEONE came along and completely won me over. I’ve enjoyed individual tracks from OnlyOneOf, Stray Kids, and one or two BTS songs for variety, but it’s rare for me to invest deeply in a group, let alone collect their full discography.
Then I discovered CIX (씨아이엑스).
Short for Complete in X, CIX is a four-member South Korean boy group under C9 Entertainment. They officially debuted on 23 July 2019, with the lineup currently features BX (비엑스), Seunghun (승훈), Yonghee (용희), and Hyunsuk (현석).

BX (비엑스), born Lee Byoung Gon (이병곤) on 5 March 1998, is the leader and oldest member. As the group’s rapper, he has shown a growing passion for songwriting and producing, often expressing his wish to contribute more directly to CIX’s music.
With a quick wit and talent for lifting the mood, he’s affectionately nicknamed “Gonisaurs” by fans and members alike.

Seunghun (승훈), born Kim Seunghun (김승훈) on 26 February 1999, serves as the main vocalist. Before joining C9 Entertainment, he appeared on survival shows like Stray Kids and YG Treasure Box, reaching the finals before narrowly missing debut.
His honey-like voice, radiant smile, and approachable nature earned him the nickname “Sweet Seunghun,” reflecting both his stage presence and the warmth he shares with fans online.

Yonghee (용희), born Kim Yonghee (김용희) on 17 February 2000, is the group’s visual and a vocalist. His striking looks quickly drew attention, earning him nicknames such as “Bambi” from fans and “lemon” from BX for his refreshing charm.
Beyond visuals, he’s also known as the group’s resident “math genius,” solving difficult equations for fun, showcasing his skills on TV, and even helping fans with homework.

Hyunsuk (현석), born Yoon Hyunsuk (윤현석) on 8 September 2001, is the youngest member. Nicknamed the “Great Rabbit” for both his height and playful energy, he discovered his love of dance after being inspired by Step Up 3, BTS’s Jungkook, and EXO’s Kai.
With a motto of “always think positively,” he balances lightheartedness with sincerity and has shared his hopes to one day explore softer concepts as part of his artistry.
CIX’s debut was carefully staged in 2019 through member reveals, teasers, and the launch of their 10-episode V Live reality series Hello CIX.
By their 100th day anniversary on 30 October 2019, the group had already solidified their fandom identity with the name FIX—short for “Faith in X.”

Originally debuted as a five-member act with former WANNA ONE member Bae Jinyoung (배진영). In CIX, Jinyoung often played central roles—both literally and figuratively—bringing a polished blend of expressive vocals, fluid dance, and emotive stage presence.
Over time, fans saw him shift from a “cute, youthful” image toward a more mature and versatile one, exploring darker, softer, and more nuanced concepts.
CIX’s strength lies in how seamlessly they balance artistry with accessibility, weaving together intricate concepts, emotional vocals, and some incredibly striking performances. Their discography reflects a willingness to experiment while staying true to a core identity that sets them apart in the saturated K-pop scene. In the following days, I’ll be breaking down their music more closely—examining the highlights, hidden gems, and the evolution of their sound.
