So, not only are Snow Man wearing the crown as the Kings of J-pop – they’re also one of the genre’s sexiest groups.

Though the music video for their newest release 「BOOST」 does not feature the group’s youngest member, Raul (he was under the weather the day of filming), it’s still incredibly hot.

The second pre-release from their upcoming fifth album, the song is fire. Catchy. Sexy. Cool — a darker contrast to the album’s lead track 「TRUE LOVE」, which dropped just last week.

While the first has a softer, more romantic feel, this new music video leans into more masculine, powerful soundscapes. It’s intense — and the duality of Snow Man (well, of all STARTO groups, really) is impressive. I love how they can go from cuddle me to destroy me in the blink of an eye.

While sex appeal is nothing new for the nine-member unit, there’s something edgier about the look and sound of this video. Polish, piercings, and leather — so much leather.

It’s wonderful.

音故知新 「ONKOCHISHIN」 drops on 5 november and is available wherever Japanese music and movies are sold, including CD JAPAN.

There will be more Snow Man soon so…

Stay Tuned!
