Hey! Say! JUMP is one of those STARTO groups that straddles the line between silly and sexy with effortless charm. Don’t believe me? Just take a look at their newest single — ｢GHOST｣!

Released just in time for Halloween, it’s the perfect track to bridge the spooky season across cultures. 

While the Season of the Witch is just beginning in the West, it’s already winding down in Japan. In Asian cultures, ghosts and goblins traditionally come out in the summer — when a good scare is said to help cool down the body during the hot and humid nights.

But let’s be honest: when it comes to Hey! Say! JUMP, every night (and day) is hot. I Mean, just look at them!

With ｢GHOST｣, the lyrics are playful, the video is pure fun, using spooky lighting and visual effects to enhance the haunting experience. The song itself is also just catchy as hell. 

As an added bonus, Travis Japan’s Leader Tiger, Chaka, assisted wit the choreography— and his signature style absolutely shows in the group’s sharp, dynamic movements.

I could be mistaken, but this might be the first time I’ve seen another STARTO act perform his choreography. Considering how much Travis Japan admires HSJ, it’s a real treat to see this creative crossover come to life.
