The teaser for Love Song dropped last week, and if your heart skipped a beat… same.
This Thai–Japanese co-production stars Snow Man’s Koji Mukai alongside Burmese–Japanese actor Win Morisaki (Ready Player One), and while the teaser is short (under two minutes), it’s bursting with everything that’s going to send this BL superfan into a tailspin!
Also, did I mention it star’s Koji, my favorite JPOP Photoboy?
But Love Song isn’t just another pretty import. It comes from the very same producers who gave us 2gether: The Series—the cultural juggernaut that didn’t just ignite Thailand’s BL boom but launched it into global orbit. That kind of pedigree doesn’t just promise heartstring-tugging romance—it all but guarantees an entire emotional symphony.
As one of the nine members of one of Asia’s biggest boy bands, Mukai is stepping into his first major queer lead—and honestly, I’m so excited to see what this means for him and the group. Fun fact: it was another Snow Man member’s BL debut—Ren Meguro in My Love Mix-Up—that first pulled me into the Snowverse in the first place.
From the teaser, Mukai’s character comes across as quiet, pensive, and emotionally guarded—a definite shift from what I’m used to. Up to now, my only real acting reference for him was the absolute chaos of the 2022 feature film Mr. Osomatsu, which is… well, the exact opposite of quiet, pensive, or reserved. It’s off-the-wall hysterical, full of cartoonish antics and total unhinged brilliance—Especially THAT scene with Koji and the car—and if you haven’t seen it yet, fix that.
The teaser doesn’t give much away in terms of plot, but it whispers promises of memory, music, and missed connections—maybe even a second chance at love (sound familiar, 2gether fans?). Set against the glow of Bangkok’s cityscape, it plays like a dreamy postcard brought to life.Set to hit theaters on 31 October 2025, Love Song looks poised to break hearts and box offices. Consider it your next emotional obsession—and a must-watch for anyone who still sings along to 「Stuck on You」 at karaoke.
There will be more reviews so…
