Memoir of Rati just keeps getting more adorable with each passing episode—and this one might be the sweetest yet.

Rati, the soft-spoken little sǎai-ráp tua-nói jàp-yàap-nít that he is, is practically irresistible—especially when paired against Thee and his warm, affectionate phûu-kàb sǎai-dǒm à-rôm dee energy. The contrast between them is pure cat-and-mouse magic. Yes, it leans into the tropes—but when it’s this fun, who cares?

Thee is clearly smitten. Hopelessly so. And while Rati is just as drawn in, he’s far more reserved—ever cautious, despite the fact that it’s Thee, as the son of a powerful and beloved dignitary, who has more to lose than the charmingly aloof emissary of France.

But this episode saw Thee’s protective streak turn up to eleven. Determined to stop Lord Ruj (Ronnadet Wongsaroj) from bullying and belittling Rati, Thee confronts the pompous windbag directly at his estate—and ends up literally taking a hit for his trouble. When Ruj raises a hand to strike a servant, Thee steps in and gets struck instead.

And that’s when the walls come down.

Rati, upon hearing what happened, races to Thee’s side—his concern breaking through that frosty façade. The moment is quiet but seismic: vulnerability, care, and the first true crack in Rati’s carefully controlled demeanor. Thee seizes the opportunity and coaxes Rati into dropping the formalities, finally getting him to call him simply P’ Thee. Cue swooning.

Meanwhile, Mek and Dech didn’t get as much screen time as I would’ve liked—but what we did get? Hilarious and golden. Mek literally made Dech see stars, and their dynamic continues to be a more physical (and chaotic) mirror to Rati and Thee’s slow-burn tension. I can’t wait to see where their playful push-and-pull goes next.

It’s clear that Memoir of Rati isn’t in a rush to get to the climax, it’s savoring the spaces in between, and honestly? That’s where the magic is.

There will be more BL reviews soon so..
