I know it’s cliché, but 「CANDY～Can U be my BABY～」has always been one of my absolute favorite Kenty songs—it’s pure sugar-pop perfection. Before I really dove into him as a solo artist, I remember hearing it for the first time on the 「バィバィDuバィ(See you again)」single (which is still one of my favorite Sexy Zone tracks), and it instantly stuck to me like caramel on a sunny day. So when it made the final cut on his debut album 「N/bias」, it felt like getting an extra piece of my favorite treat.

The only bittersweet part of my trip to Japan in January is that I left just before the tour started—literally the day I flew out. So naturally, I’ve been binging every teaser video on YouTube like I’ve got a candy craving I just can’t shake.

The performance is like unwrapping a nostalgic sweet from your childhood—melting, colorful, and impossible not to smile at. Written by Nakajima when he was just 19, the re-polished version still hits with that same irresistible flavor—catchy, fizzy, and – of course – sweet.

With the Blu-ray/DVD release of KENTO NAKAJIMA 1st Live 2025 ‘N / bias dropping 9 July, we’re all about to unwrap that sugar-sweet moment again—and again—and again.
