When I clicked play on Netflix’s latest animated feature, K-Pop Demon Hunters, I wasn’t totally sure what to expect. Stylish? Probably. Silly? Maybe. A full-on musical thrill ride? I didn’t see that coming. The film itself is cute—quirky, colorful, and packed with charm—but the soundtrack?

FIERCE.

This isn’t just a collection of pop songs slapped onto a movie—it’s a tightly crafted, high-energy, incurably well-written soundtrack that understands the assignment and delivers with glittery vengeance. Every track brings something fresh, from slick girl group bangers to emotionally rich duets and chaotic demon-boy swagger. It’s theatrical, it’s empowering, and honestly, it slaps harder than a holy water-soaked bass drop.

  • 「Takedown」 – Jeongyeon, Jihyo & Chaeyoung (TWICE)
This one kicks things off with main character energy. It’s bold, loud, and has that perfect blend of idol polish and end-of-the-world urgency. Like, yes—give me that apocalyptic girl group power ballad. Let’s go.
  • 「How It’s Done」 – HUNTR/X
This is the song that plays in your head when you’re walking into a room knowing you’re that b*tch. Confident, catchy, and sharp as a blade. Rumi, Mira, and Zoey absolutely own this track.
  • 「Golden」 – HUNTR/X
This one’s more emotional, with a cinematic feel that somehow makes you want to cry and punch a demon in the face. A standout performance moment, especially if you’re following Rumi’s arc.
  • 「Soda Pop」 & 「Your Idol」 – Saja Boys
The demon boy band tracks? ICONIC. “Soda Pop” is a sugar rush, and “Your Idol” is pure tongue-in-cheek charm. They’re chaotic and catchy in the best way, and honestly, I’d stan them… if they weren’t literal demons.
  • 「Free」 – Rumi & Jinu
A soft, haunting duet that got me right in the feels. It’s tender, vulnerable, and such a nice emotional beat in the middle of all the high-stakes drama. Yes, I got misty-eyed. No, I’m not sorry.

If you’re a K-pop fan, a soundtrack nerd, or just someone who loves a little drama with their dance break—trust me, this one’s worth adding to your playlist. Immediately.

There will be more music reviews soon so…
