In Japan, summer isn’t just about fireworks and festivals—it’s the season of spirits. As the heat rises, so do tales of yūrei and yokai, stories whispered to send a chill down your spine and soothe the summer swelter.

It’s a long-standing tradition: when the blazing summer sun goes down, the ghosts come out to play – and this year, Snow Man is getting in on the spectral action with their newest music video

「SERIOUS」.

Tapping into the spooky vibe of the season, the undisputed kings of J-POP invite viewers into a world of shadows—but not for screams… for silliness. It’s a place where creepy crawlies meet chaotic cuteness, wrapped in a track that’s crafted as much for the eyes as it is for the ears. It’s a song that proves once again that no one balances performance and personality quite like Snow Man.

The video opens with the dramatic rise of a mysterious castle, pulling in we see its tower rising from an endless abyss of smoke and shadow. Meguro ascends its heights like a gothic prince, while inside Raul watches a marionette version of himself—dancing for no one but his own reflection. Iwamoto charges through a dark corridor swarming with adorably mischievous ghosts, while Sakuma plays a wanted man on the run, and  Abe-chan becomes a prize in a giant claw machine for a fuzzy alien. Mukai and Fukazawa navigate a haunted hallway lined with grasping hands, as Miyadate effortlessly conjures magic like it’s second nature. And Watanabe? He doesn’t need spells or illusions—just a smirk to deliver his signature sinister sex appeal as the man seemingly pulling the strings.

It’s incredibly fun.

With two consecutive years as Japan’s top-selling male artists under their belts—and now officially streaming worldwide—their reign isn’t just secure. It’s expanding.

Releasing on 23 July you can pre-order 「SERIOUS」 wherever Japanese music and movies are sold, including CD JAPAN!

You can also stream their BEST OF album.

There will be more Snow Man soon so…
