I’m a few days late on this, because I had to process. I have so many treasured memories of watching the original film with my dad, completely transfixed by how bright, bold, and impossibly good the Man of Steel seemed to be. That theme—the entire score— has stayed with me throughout my entire life – and served as the soundtrack to every action sequence in My Super Fiancé.
While I’m a huge Henry Cavil fan, the darkness that surrounded the big blue boy scout in the Snyderverse wasn’t my favorite. James Gunn however… I have incredibly high hopes for.

In the upcoming film, David Corenswet steps into the cape, bringing us a Superman who feels both mighty and profoundly human. There’s strength, sure—but also soul. Rachel Brosnahan’s Lois Lane arrives in classic form, introduced through a sharp, compelling interview where she does what she does best: challenges her subject, even if he happens to be the love of her life.
And then there’s the music. One of the most buzzed-about moments in the trailer is composer John Murphy’s bold reimagining of John Williams’s legendary “Superman March.” It’s electric—literally. Murphy weaves in guitar elements that modernize the piece without losing any of its awe-inspiring majesty. It doesn’t just nod to the past—it channels the same magic. It gave me chills.
Also? Krypto is adorable.
I genuinely can’t wait for this film.
