With a softer tempo and a slick new sound, Ae! group’s third studio single ｢Chameleon｣ proves the boys are more than just pop-rock charmers—they’re sonic shapeshifters.

Blending their signature rock-and-roll attitude with a pinch of jazz and a dash of that unmistakable Kansai humor, “Chameleon” is playful, polished, and impossibly fun—showcasing a newfound musical maturity while still glistening with that brilliant gleam of boyish charm.

But don’t let that innocent brightness fool you…. 

The music video takes a satirical swipe at today’s influencer culture, placing the boys on a surreal talk show hosted by a chameleon obsessed with social media—likes, comments, the whole digital dopamine hit—and that allegory isn’t lost on this ‘elder’ millennial. 

This host has changed his colors so many times, you have to wonder: does he even remember who he really is? Through vivid visuals and subtle commentary, the video adds a thoughtful twist to an otherwise effervescent track, revealing a group unafraid to poke at modern identity—even as they redefine their own.

The single drops physically on 18 June wherever Japanese CDs are sold, and – in addition to the previously released B-side “Destiny,” – comes packed with  additional new songs and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage across four unique formats.

With “Chameleon,” Ae! group continues to resist the mold—and remind us all that authenticity, in any color, is still the boldest look of all.
