Episode 2 picks up right where the premiere left off, with Khanin and his steadfast protector Charan fleeing a violent ambush. Their journey to Emmaly is anything but smooth—marked by a tense hotel standoff and a rain-soaked confrontation that dredges up Charan’s buried trauma. Yet amid the chaos, the bond between them deepens. Vulnerability and mutual trust begin to take root, and Khanin’s cheeky deception about the nature of their relationship adds a charming layer of levity to their growing dynamic.

Meanwhile, back in Emmaly, the royal court simmers with tension. Prince Ramil’s arrogance and dismissive attitude toward Princess Ava reveal entrenched gender biases at the heart of the succession contest. Beneath the surface, political conspiracies begin to brew—mysterious figures and questionable alliances hint that Khanin’s return may pose a real threat to the status quo.

I’ve been eagerly awaiting Karn Kritsanaphan’s (Jimmy) debut as Prince Ramil, and let me tell you—it was worth the wait. He commands the screen with his signature intensity, and I’m thrilled to see him back in action, especially playing what looks to be one of the story’s villains. It’s a delicious twist.

Visually, the show continues to impress with lush production design, lavish costumes, and a truly regal aesthetic. That said, some of the action choreography—especially the fight scenes—leans more toward stylized fantasy than believable grit. But let’s be real: none of us are here for realism. We’re here for the drama, the romance, the fantasy—and let’s not pretend Zee’s shirtless scenes aren’t part of the appeal. Also? Seeing New living his best drag life? Absolute gold.

All in all, I have high hopes for where this series is headed.
