Ryosuke Yamada (山田 涼介) of Hey! Say! JUMP is stepping into the spotlight solo—and he’s doing it in bold, blazing color. His long-awaited debut album, RED, has officially dropped, and it’s everything fans hoped for… and then some.

Opening the album with a bang, 「RED」 is everything a lead track should be—bold, seductive, and impossible to ignore. Co-composed and arranged by Hey! Say! JUMP bandmate Daiki Arioka, the song pulses with tension and heat, giving Yamada the perfect canvas to strut, smolder, and command. His delivery oozes charisma, switching effortlessly between sharp edges and breathy allure. It’s a sonic statement piece—packed with layered production, sly choreography, 「RED」 doesn’t just set the tone for the album—it is the tone: unapologetically confident, dangerously cool, and so very Yamada.

It’s sexy. It’s sincere. And above all, it’s unmistakably Yamada.

Previously released tracks include the emotional ballad Snow Moon, which introduced a softer, more introspective side of Yamada. Showcasing his delicate vocals and masterful vocal expression, that draws listeners into an emotional depth.

Breathtaking, the winter ballad laced with longing, the song showcases his feather-light vocals and razor-sharp control, pulling listeners into the kind of emotional depths STARTO idols do best. Every note feels intentional, every breath loaded with meaning.

Switch – produced by Imai Ryosuke of TinyVoice,Production – this dance anthem is infused with exotic phrases and an addictive melody that lingers long after the first listen. Yamada’s delicate yet powerful vocal work shines, creating an immersive experience that leaves listeners captivated. Notably, Yamada performed all vocal parts, including the chorus, making this a pure, unfiltered expression of his artistry.

Other standout tracks include Please! Please! Please! —a bright, infectious pop gem that hooks you from the first beat. It’s playful, catchy, and easy to keep on repeat, the kind of earworm that refuses to let go (not that you’d want it to).

HUSTLER is sexyl—no notes. It’s sugar-slick and sweat-drenched, playfully teasing with just enough bite to keep it dangerous. The track begs for a performance (or at the very least, a dance practice video), because if the vibe is this seductive on audio alone, imagine what Yamada could do with the choreography.

The album closes with 「SUPER GROOVE」—a track that mirrors the power of 「RED」 but flips the mood entirely. It’s still sexy, but this time it’s wrapped in warmth and slow-burning romance. Less about the thrill of the chase, and more about the intimacy that comes after. This isn’t just a song for a good time—it’s a song for making love and the perfection of paradise when you’re in love.
