I’m so incredibly happy that J-pop duo King & Prince has stepped onto the digital playing field. They’re just such a fun group!
Their latest single, 「HEART」—their 16th release—is pure pop bliss.

The best describe 「HEART」? It’s fun. An innocent love song with silly-sweet lyrics like “Cupid, tell me how to love & kiss” and “The arrow of my heart is pointing to you, I just can’t stop it, I don’t know what to do.” It’s catchy, lighthearted, and impossible not to smile at. Also… how cute is Kaito Takahashi?! (Sorry, Meguro!)
I also love how the music video plays with the Cinderella Girl concept from their debut single—a subtle but charming callback for longtime fans.
Then there’s 「marble」 a totally adorable pop track. Something about it feels very early 2000s, like a song Mandy Moore or A☆TEENS could have back in the days of my youth. Plus, any track that incorporates symphonic strings instantly wins me over!
「I MY ME MINE」 rounds out the regular (digital) version of the release with a touch of Spanish hip-hop flair. My only complaint? It’s too short! I wanted more.
A solid release, 「HEART」 perfectly captures that joyful, infectious energy that King & Prince has become known for.
