Tadayoshi Ohkura (大倉 忠義), a member of the legendary J-POP idol group SUPER EIGHT, has announced his engagement to his longtime, who is not part of the entertainment industry.
In a statement on STARTO ENTERTAINMENT’s official website, Ohkura revealed, “I, Tadayoshi Ohkura, have decided to get married. And, we have been blessed with a little life.” This announcement not only confirms his upcoming marriage but also shares the joyous news that the happy couple are expecting their first child!
Ohkura also expressed heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering support that has sustained SUPER EIGHT for over 20 years. He added, “Thanks to the support of all the fans and everyone involved, the group has been able to continue for over 20 years. I will continue to work hard so that I can keep receiving your support and become a source of strength for the juniors. I sincerely ask for your continued warm guidance and encouragement as we move forward.”
I am especially happy for Ohkura as he was one of the geniuses who helped produce the debut CD of the group that introduced me to STARTO Entertainment, Naniwa Danshi, back in 2021. As with most debuted talent in STARTO, Ohkura takes special pride in nurturing the next generation and In 2024 established J-pop Legacy, a company aimed at producing and nurturing talent.
