It’s such a cool event being able to relive these Blu-ray releases of shows / concerts I was able to attend in person. They’re a reminder that, not only did I take journey I took to the other side of the world, but I also go to see some of my favorite gougers live. In this case, I got to relive 祭 GALA an incredible feat of sight and sound from the visionary minds of Hikaru Iwamoto, Tatsuya Fukazawa, and Miyadate Ryota from Snow Man.

It was one of two stage productions I got to attend during my first trip to Tokyo and it was nothing short of magical. I attended the production on 23 April 2024 and it was a unique experience for me to pick up a physical copy of the Blu-ray Disc during my second trip to Japan earlier this month and stepping back through the Tori Gate, even though it was from the comfort of my own home in Los Angeles, was just as magical.

Reliving the experience in 1080 hd with pitch-perfect surround sound I enjoyed an even closer look a the guys. I noticed details I was too excited to focus on before especially during  Iwamoto’s sultry King of Siam number.
