🎵 A NEW SIDE OF TRAVIS JAPAN: THE SWEETEST TUNE YET 🎵

Featured in the steamy drama Tokyo Tower, starring Travis Japan’s own Genta ‘G’ Matsuda alongside Ren Nagase from King & Prince, 「Sweetest Tune」 marks a bold evolution for the group. The music video is packed with easter eggs referencing their earlier hits like 「Candy Kiss」 and 「LEVEL UP」—but blink and you might miss them!

“The song will let you know a new side of Travis Japan,” Matsuda teased with a sly smile. “It’s a pop tune with a mature vibe. The choreography is both technical and catchy, and the music video has a comic storyline that combines sharehouse-like scenes with dynamic dancing. We hope it shows you a whole new side of us!”

📈 CHART-TOPPING SUCCESS 📈

The release of “Sweetest Tune” coincided with Travis Japan’s announcement of their first world tour, “Road to A,” which included sold-out dates in various international cities, including Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Los Angeles. 

In the Oricon Weekly Digital Single Ranking for the week of 10 June, the song debuted at number one with 50,706 downloads, marking their fifth consecutive digital single to reach the top position. Basically, they’ve toped the charts with every single release. On the Billboard Japan Hot 100 chart dated June 19, 2024, 「Sweetest Tune」 secured the second position. Additionally, it topped the Billboard Japan Download Songs chart with 44,971 downloads during the same period. IT’s a great song, with a colorful video  with choreography crafted by Macoto and ReiNa, who are both members of the dance crew Rht.

🌍GLOBAL AMBITION 🌍

The release of 「Sweetest Tune」 coincided with Travis Japan’s announcement of their first world tour, Road to A, which included sold-out shows in Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Los Angeles. They are the first group signed to STARTO ENTERTAINMENT to include US cities in one of their international tours – meaning they are continuing to fulfill the promise that they were created to be a new type of group under the agency. 

They’re special – and they’ve earned it. 

Fans lucky enough to attend their concert at the El Rey Theatre in LA were treated to a live performance of 「Sweetest Tune」—a moment so spectacular it was featured on the Recording Academy/GRAMMYs YouTube page for Global Spin.
