Recently I’ve been finding myself getting into anime outside the realm of the ‘Magical Girl’ genre I have come to love and adore. This time I have fallen down the rabbit hole that is TASUKETSU -Fate of the Majority-.

Based on the psychological/thriller visual novel written by Taiga Miyakawa the story is set in a world where the rules of society no longer apply, and the only law is the law of the majority. Where a mysterious figure known only as the “Emperor” has orchestrated a sinister game that will push five strangers to their limits.

The game is simple: answer the question “Do you want to live or die?” But there’s a catch – the majority will be executed, leaving only the minority to survive. As the players navigate this twisted world, alliances are forged and broken, and the true nature of humanity is revealed.

The thrilling manga has now been adapted into a TV anime series, which premiered in Japan on 2 July 2024 and has gained fans worldwide as it can be streamed on stream Crunchyroll in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, and CIS.

The first episode of season 2 will air on 2 October in Japan and will also be simulcast on Crunchyroll.

But wait, there’s more!

Noel Kawashima, the multi-talented, multi-faceted, and super acrobatic “Brain Tiger” of Travis Japan, will be joining the cast as Kai Kasai. While this is his first voice-over roll Noel is no stranger to acting having appeared along fellow TJ group member Kaito Matsukura (Machu) in the stage musical of A BETTER TOMORROW which ran earlier this year. With his captivating stage presence and acting chops, Noel is sure to bring this complex character to life.

And as if that wasn’t enough, Travis Japan will also be providing the opening song for Season 2, titled “Fly Higher”. This energetic track will be included on the group’s highly anticipated sophomore album, VIIsual, making it a must-listen for fans of both TASUKETSU and TJ.

More anime. More music. More Travis Japan soon so…

Stay Tuned!
