KAMIGATA BOYZ have released their second single “世界を明るく照らしましょう” (English: “Let’s light up the world!”).

A JPOP supergroup brainchild of talent-producer Tadayoshi Ohkura and formed from Kansai units signed to STARTO ENTERTAINMENT, KAMIGATA BOYZ currently consists of SUPER EIGHT (formerly Kanjani∞), WEST., and Naniwa Danshi (なにわ男子) with this newest single also including the newest STARTO unit to debut, Ae! group (Aぇ! group).

A fusion of Japanese pop and Western rock influences with that signature comedic Kansai spirit that each one of the groups are known for, “世界を明るく照らしましょう” follows the hysterically fun “無責任でええじゃないかLOVE” (english: Musekinin de Eejyanaika LOVE) which was released on 3 May through Storm Labels. The song is a mashup of a song from each of them. “Musekinin Hero” from SUPER EIGHT (formerly Kanjani∞), and the debut singles of both WEST. and Naniwa Danshi (ええじゃないか [Eejyanaika] and 初心LOVE” [“UBU LOVE” / “BEGINNER LOVE”] respectively). The title loosely translates to “Isn’t Love Great with No Responsibility”. 

Released digitally, “世界を明るく照らしましょう” can be purchased on streaming platforms worldwide including QOBUZ which offers a 16-Bit/44.1 kHz stereo download.

On Sunday 22 September at  17:00 (JST) the groups take part in the livestream extravaganza KAMIGATA BOYZ DREAM IsLAND 2024 with an archive viewing option from 4 October – 14 October. Tickets can be purchased through the FAMILY CLUB ONLINE website.
