Get ready to blast off! Lee Min Ho (이민호), one of Korea’s most dashing leading men, is set to star in the highly anticipated drama When The Stars Gossip (별들에게 물어봐).

One of my favorite Korean actors, firstI fell in love with Lee for his portrayal of the handsome con-man with the devil-may-care attitude – Heo Joon Jae – in the SBS fantasy drama Legend of the Blue Sea (푸른 바다의 전설) and was absolutely captivated by his portrayal of Lee Gon, the emperor of the kingdom of Korea in The King: Eternal Monarch (더 킹: 영원의 군주) – which is one of my all-time favorite television series ever.

While he’s had several starring roles since, there’s been a lot of buzz surrounding the upcoming When The Stars Gossip (별들에게 물어봐), which will air on tvN next year. Lee will take on the role of Gong Ryong, an OB-GYN who visits the space station as a space tourist and meets Eve Kim – played by Gong Hyo Jin (공효진) – a top astronaut who is an absolute perfectionist. Though the two have vastly different personalities, the stars align and they fall in love.

An original work written by Seo Sook Hyang and directed by Park Shin Woo, the series was planned by Studio Dragon and produced by both KeyEast and MYM Entertainment. It is also the first K-drama to be set against the backdrop of a space station.

With Lee Min Ho’s massive global following, it’s only a matter of time before this drama gets picked up by a major streaming platform.
