“I love how vast and diverse the world of BL is becoming! While I love adorable romantic-comedies like Mr. Unlucky Has No Choice But To Kiss and heart-tugging dramas like Eternal Yesterday, there’s something to be said for series that take us into the darkness of real-life experiences that are the reality for a lot of the LGBTQ+ community, and Happy of the End(ハッピー・オブ・ジ・エンド) seems like it’s going to do just that.

With no family, no home, and no one to love, Chihiro Kashiwagi (Yurai Beppu) lives a harsh and lonely existence. Disowned by his family and left to fend for himself, his world is in shambles.

Then, one night, at his favorite bar, he meets the handsome Keito (Rei Sawamura of the idol group ONE N’ ONLY). Incredibly confident and undeniably sexy, Keito is everything Chihiro is looking for, and when he offers to take him to a hotel room so that they could get to know one another more intimately and Chihiro couldn’t be happier.

But not everything is what it seems. The mysterious Keito has his own dark secrets, and they promise to turn Chihiro’s entire world upside down. But for someone with nothing, upside down just might be what he needs to turn his life around.

Adapted from the manga series of the same name written by Ogeretsu Tanaka (おげれつたなか), the eight-episode series will begin airing on September 3 on Fuji TV and FOD for streaming.
