One of the things I love about Kento Nakajima is that while he’s incredibly good-looking, he’s also incredibly funny. He can play the leading man, dripping with sex and sensuality, just as easily as he can play the accident-prone nerd. While he’s serious about his craft, he doesn’t take himself too seriously. He’s not afraid to look (or be) silly, as is evident in the music video for his new single HITOGOTO (ヒトゴト/ English: Somebody Else’s Problem).

The single was released digitally on all music platforms on July 26, 2024, and will receive a physical disc release on October 2. The music video features Nakajima as a taxi driver dealing with a plethora of annoying passengers, from crying women to smoking men, the drunk, the disorderly, and the flirtatious – they’re all there, and somehow Nakajima manages to keep his cool, looking great while doing it.

HITOGOTO, a music project featuring Kento Nakajima, serves as the theme song to his new drama Shosen Hitogoto desu kara: Toaru Bengoshi no Honne no Shigoto (しょせん他人事(ひとごと)ですから ~とある弁護士の本音の仕事~ / English: It’s Somebody Else’s Business – A Lawyer’s True Feelings about His Work).

My personal recommendation for purchase of the song is through Qobuz which offers a 24-Bit/48 kHz Stereo release.

There will be more Nakajima soon so… Stay Tuned!
