In his new single ヒトゴト (Somebody Else’s Problem) has released his first official globally available single as a solo artist – and it’s hot. The theme song to the new TV Tokyo Comedy-drama Shosen Hitogoto Desu kara, of which Nakajima also stars.

The song is catchy and fun. While Nakajima always deliver vocally with his signature brand of sensuality and charisma, it’s the lyrical content that really stands out in this track. In the drama, Kenty portrays Osamu Yasuda, a sharp-witted lawyer navigating the murkiness of millennials and crimes revolving around social media. He brilliantly captures the essence of a world where we’re all ensnared by the weight of “other people’s problems” while struggling to keep one’s own morality – and humanity – in check. Something Nakajima took into consideration while crafting the lyrics to the song.

Having always wanted to write the theme song for a drama, Nakajima is very proud of the song.

“Through my lyrics, I wanted to explore what we should truly cherish and what defines our individuality in such times,” Nakajima said in a statement about the track.
