In a stunning turn of events— after a controversy that caused a temporary hold on the series’ release outside of Thailand— GMMTV has announced the release of a boxset of the 2023 supernatural romantic comedy series Cherry Magic! 

Adapted from the manga series Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?! by Toyota Yuu (豊田悠), and the 2020 Japanese series of the same name was the comeback series of one of the company’s most beloved ships, Tay Tawan and New Thitipoom. 

Achi (Thitipoom) is stagnant in his position at a stationary company. Still single. Still a virgin. He’s nothing like the man he thought he was going to be. However, the day he turned thirty, he becomes aware that he had developed the power to hear the thoughts of anyone he touched. Things get more confusing when he accidentally hears the thoughts of Karan (Tawan). Karan is driven, smart, and the most handsome man in the company. Achi realizes that Karan has had a crush on him since they met. Things get even more complicated when Achi discovers that he reciprocates Karan’s feelings.

Like it’s Japanese predecessor, Cherry Magic Thailand is adorably sweet and one of the better series or 2023. I’m grateful it’s back on Youtube in the states and even more excited that it receiving a box set as there was a part of me that was worried it wouldn’t.

Releasing at the end of September the boxset measures 19.5×27.9 cm the and includes:

  • 7 DVDs: Complete 12 EPs (with English Subtitles), 3 original soundtrack music videos, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content produced specifically for the set.
  • 1 Photobook: 100 pages (18 x 26.7 cm)
  • 3 Photocards: 3 designs (18 x 26.7 cm), with one out of the three featuring autographs from Tay and New.
  • 12 Postcards: (4 x 6”)
  • Cherry Magic Card : (13 x 13 cm) randomly selected from 3 designs
  • 2 Special Photocards (5.5 x 8.5 cm)
