Kaito Nakamura, aka Umi, the Pet Tiger of Travis Japan, is a very busy man! Earlier this month, it was announced that he would be appearing in the upcoming feature film Yano-kun’s Ordinary Days, and now it’s been announced he will star in a new drama on MBS, The Perfect Wife’s Perfect Revenge Plan (完璧ワイフによる完璧な復讐計画)!

Adapted from the manga of the same name by Koharu Yukimura, Nakamura will play Mizuki Kashiwagi, the tax accountant and colleague of Shuto Amamiya (Atsuhiro Inukai, The Man Who Defied the World of BL), who also has an illicit affair with his wife, Narumi (Yurika Nakamura). 

“When I first heard this story, I was surprised!” Nakamura says in a statement about the series. “I immediately bought all the volumes of the manga that have been released and immediately started to read. “Mizuki was drawn very beautifully, and the more I read, the more I started thinking about how I wanted to play the character. I am really excited to be able to bring him to life.”

“I really hope fans of the manga will enjoy my portrayal,” he continues. “The drama is really fun and has its own sort of unique charm. The cast, the director, and the entire crew are wonderful. I really hope fans will enjoy this drama.”
