This past weekend Memory in the Letter aired its final episode and I could not have been more pleased with how it ended.

The first production from Studio Say-Yes, the six episode supernatural BL love story aired from Apr 6, 2024 – May 11, 2024 on Channel 9 in Thailand and WeTV for international viewers. It was well written, beautifully acted, and incredibly produced.

Adapted from the web of the same by Hungrybird (ฮังกรีเบิร์ด) it’s honestly one of the most simple, sweet, and well done dramas I have ever seen out of Thailand. It stars some incredibly talented new actors, including Napavit Tewaphankul (Parky) as Songjam, a young man wanting adventure anywhere than where he is, Pichayutt Chatchawansombut (Beck) as Aksorn, a rebellious soul seeking love,  and Atirut Kittipattana  (Can) as Kyo, a doctor with a secret identity that causes a major twist in the story.

Reaching out to the studio, I was able to ask a few quick questions about the series and what’s to come from Studio Say-Yes!

Will you only produce BL dramas or other dramas as well?
We can produce all styles. But right now we’re interested in bl that has a variety of plots. For our next series, we are currently developing the script. If everything goes smoothly It may be on air by the end of this year.

Do you have a favorite memory of shooting?
This series was quite difficult to film. But work is full of laughter and fun, even in stressful situations. Especially the stargazing scene on the rooftop. It was really a good memory.

What is your next project anything you can share?
The next story is more dramatic. But we can’t reveal anything yet. I want everyone to wait and follow.

Was the original author involved in the script or production?
The author of the novel has come to write a television script for us. But in many issues, we were unable to follow the story with the budget, so we had to adjust for appropriateness. But try not to abandon the original.

Anything else you’d like international fans to know?
