If STARTO ENTERTAINMENT has proven anything so far in 2024 it’s that they haven’t come to play. As the most prominent male idol company in Japan, they want fans (including those outside their home country) to know that they are the company – and the guys’- top priority.  So, it gives me great pleasure to introduce you to – KAMIGATA BOYZ – a supergroup formed with the participation of SUPER EIGHT, WEST., and  Naniwa Danshi (なにわ男子) and the release of their first SINGLE ｢無責任でええじゃないかLOVE｣.

If you’re familiar with the groups individually, you’ll see right away that they are all three from the Kansai region of Japan. You’ll also know that ｢無責任でええじゃないかLOVE｣ (english: Musekinin de Eejyanaika LOVE) is a mashup of a song from each.  “Musekinin Hero” from SUPER EIGHT (formerly Kanjani∞), and the debut singles of both WEST. and Naniwa Danshi (ええじゃないか [Eejyanaika] and 初心LOVE” [“UBU LOVE” / “BEGINNER LOVE”] respectively). The title loosely translates to “Isn’t Love Great with No Responsibility”. 

With all three groups’ incredibly busy with their own separate schedules I doubt releases like this are going to be commonplace, but it is fun and something I hope other STARTO Kansai groups are able to join in on at some future date. (I’d also love to see a SixSnowTravis song or JUMPKisPrince).  At any rate, STARTO ENTERTAINMENT didn’t come to play- they came to work, and in that spectacular STARTO fashion, they’re slaying!
