STARTO ENTERTAINMENT is making a bold statement with its official rebrand, marking a significant milestone for the most prominent male idol company in Japan. This move underscores their unwavering dedication to us, the fans – a community that extends far beyond the borders of JPOP. 

Today, STARTO ENTERTAINMENT has released the single “WE ARE” on digital platforms worldwide, bringing the power of their music to fans across the globe. A physical CD version of the track will follow on 12 June, wherever Japanese CDs are sold.

Intended as a charity single in the vein of 1985’s We Are the World, all song proceeds will be donated to the benefit of those affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake earlier this year. Featuring 75 members across the 14 groups NEWS, SUPER EIGHT, KAT-TUN, Hey! Say! JUMP, Kis-My-Ft2, timelesz, A.B.C-Z, WEST., King & Prince, SixTONES, Snow Man, Naniwa Danshi, Travis Japan, and Ae! group; who will debut as the newest member of the STARTO family 15 May. 

A song of hope,  it promises that there are brighter days ahead, even if right now, it’s hard. Just as they have under the old company,  for decades, the groups of STARTO ENTERTAINMENT promise to be there, cheering you on, helping to lift your spirits even in the darkest times.

As an additional bonus for overseas fans, the company has also announced that the Kyocera Dome showcase of their WE ARE! Let’s get the party STARTO!! concert will be globally livestreamed 30 May (starting from 4:00pm local time)

“WE ARE! Let’s get the party STARTO!! is themed around the idea of “As we start a new company, what can we deliver to our fans and partners who have continued to support us as before? We have also been thinking seriously about what we can do to help those affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake that struck at the beginning of this year,” the company states. 

Like a phoenix risen from the ashes of a long and painful year, STARTO ENTERTAINMENT is taking flight in a way that shows fans they mean business for 2024 and beyond. International business! So keep your ears open.
