Gu-Won gets to Do-He in time. He then uses his powers to whisk his wife, himself, and her would-be murderer Suk-Min, to the top of his tower. Though he’ll cease to exist if he kills the pitiful excuse for a human, he can torture and torment him until he begs to die. The demon then reveals that he was able to assist Suk-Min’s wife, Se-Ra to tell the police the truth behind his crimes. In an act of cowardice befitting this sum of the earth, Suk-Min commits suicide but jumping from the top of the tower.

As news of the Chairman’s death spreads over the city Gu-Won and Seok-Hoon try to comfort Do-He by telling her that Suk-Min had to have lied to her. That Madam Ju could not possibly have killed her parents. However, when Sa-Ra returns the Demon Manuel to Gu-Won, she advises him, that if Suk-Min said it, she was sure he meant it. He always thought his mother was capable of even worse things than murder. Looking into the death of her parents, she starts to more she starts to believe Suk-Min is telling the truth.
Gu-Won reminds Do-He that, in the last moments of her life, when humans are most honest with themselves, she sends Do-He a text that simply reads “I love you.”
Though she finds comfort in his words, Do-He and Gu-Won go to the church Madam Ju attended to ask the priest about her confessions. Having asked him to do so before her death, the Priest reveals to her the truth. This includes the fact that Madam Ju watched Gu-Won collect on his deal with her father. Though he offers one to her as well, she doesn’t take it.
Do-He does not reveal to Gu-Won that she knows the truth. Back at the apartment, however, she breaks down in the bathroom, alone. He husband took her father’s life.
Allowing her time to grieve, Gu-Won returns to the church, to speak with the priest, who reveals that Do-He now knows everything. While Madam Ju was filled with rage, her parents were speeding against the clock to finish everything they needed to do before Gu-Won came to collect, her father’s soul.
Do-He spends the next several days avoiding her husband. She then witnesses him collecting on a deal. She’s devastated. To save her, Gu-Won promises to disappear from her life. Then he does. Instead of feeling relief she breaks down into tears.

Quick Take: Usually the citing event of the dreaded “break up” episode is something silly, like a stupid secret, or a pointless ex who shows up for no reason. But this. This is a deep and horrible revelation. One I am not sure Do-He will be able to recover from, and, even though I want them together, I am not sure that she should have too.
