Back in his demon form, Gu-Won is ready to start striking deals with insignificant mortals again. But something has changed, he’s been human, so he can’t view the same way he always has. Also, he learns the identity of the sword dancer, it’s Do-He’s past life, and as a human, he loved her – and that love got both of them killed. He asks God to allow them a happier ending, but she can’t. She sets the game, but the rules, she has no control over anymore. However, instead of running from Do-He, the two decided to face whatever was coming together.

Seok-Hoon tries to infiltrate the hornet’s nest which is the life of his cousin Tae-Hoon, but turmoil and tragedy muck everything up – as does the fact that Tae-Hoon is always one step ahead of anything anyone else is doing. Except, for Do-Kyung’s suicide. That took everyone by surprise.

It’s also revealed that the reason Do-He’s parents were killed was because Gu-Won came to collect on their deal. Madame Ju was there. She looked into the eyes of the devil, who is now married to her favorite child.

Quick Take: I am heartbroken by Do-Kyung’s suicide, but honestly, I hadn’t expected him to survive the fiery car crash that almost took Do-He’s life. Mental illness is still such a complex and hot-button issue, but I do feel like actor Seung-Ho Kang, who plays Do-Kyung did a gorgeous, and terrifying job. I hold no sadness for his parents. They turned that mental illness into a tool the used it their control their son like a pawn on a chessboard. Tragic, but at least his character is at peace.
